A straight average of 72, 58, and 84 would give 71.3% — noticeably different from the weighted result, because THEO200 (your lowest mark) carries the same credit point weight as NURS100 rather than the lesser weight it would have in an unweighted average.

ACU uses the following grade and GPA mapping, which is consistent with the ACU student assessment policy:

• High Distinction (HD): 85–100% → GPA 7
• Distinction (D): 75–84% → GPA 6
